A high-resolution seismo-acoustic and video dataset of a lahar at Volcán de Fuego, Guatemala

Seismic and acoustic observations are widely used to detect, track, and characterize volcanic eruptions and lahars, and are central to volcano monitoring. Here we present an open-access, high-resolution, seismic, acoustic, and video dataset collected at Fuego volcano, Guatemala, along the Ceniza drainage from 10 to 21 October 2025. The deployment included a linear network of nine closely spaced seismic stations, co-located acoustic sensors at selected sites, and a small-aperture infrasound array. During the experiment, the network recorded Fuego’s persistent explosive activity and captured a lahar documented by time-synchronized 4K video in the upper reach and time-lapse imagery in the lower reach. By combining geophysical measurements with direct visual observations, the dataset will support studies of eruptive and lahar source processes, signal propagation, event detection, and hazard monitoring. This Data Descriptor describes the deployment, data products, and repository structure, and provides a resource for future work in volcano seismology and infrasound.
